My Story

When I’m not teaching American Heart Association (AHA) courses, I’m on the front lines as a rapid response nurse—putting resuscitation science into action when it matters most. My Master’s in Nursing Informatics fuels my passion for the evidence-based practices behind the AHA guidelines, and my hands-on clinical experience brings those lessons to life. I don’t just teach skills—I inspire confidence, prepare you for real emergencies, and help you believe in your ability to make a difference.

With over 20 years of well documented nursing experience, my passion for resuscitation has only grown stronger. Over the years, I’ve come to truly value the importance of mentorship and support—not just in healthcare, but in our day-to-day work environments where teamwork and guidance make all the difference.​

Community education is equally essential, as the majority of cardiac arrests occur outside the hospital. I’m committed to guiding anyone willing to learn, so we can strengthen early emergency response both in our communities and within healthcare settings.

I don’t just teach the steps—I focus on helping others understand the "why" behind each intervention.

As I’ve grown and matured in this profession, giving back has become a personal priority—through mentoring, teaching, and fostering environments where healthcare professionals and our local communities can thrive and deliver the highest level of care.

For me, it’s not just about certifications—it’s about giving people the knowledge and confidence to act when it matters most. Whether I’m training a nurse, a doctor, medical assistant, or a community member, my goal is to empower others with the same skills I rely on in real emergencies.​
